Monthly Activities
Daytime Activities:
Coffee Breaks: Every second Wednesday of the month from 10:00am to noon, we gather for coffee at interesting new restaurants and locations about town*, or in a member’s home. There may be a brief guest speaker, but always plenty of time to chat with new friends.
The Lunch Bunch: Meet us at 11:30am for lunch. These casual luncheons are held at restaurants throughout the Twin Cities* or hosted in a member’s home.
Wanderers: Get to know The Cities! The Wanderers take in museums and points of interest throughout the metro area*. A casual lunch at a nearby restaurant is always an option.
*Carpooling is available to activities held outside the Edina area.
Evening Activities:
NEW! Cocktail Hour: This is our version of Happy Hour. Enjoy your favorite beverage and appetizers at a fun bar or restaurant,* or at a potluck “wine and cheese” party in a member’s home.
NEW! Games People Play: Each month we pick an easy new or old game to learn and play. There’s lots of laughs, conversation, good food and drink to share.
NEW! Bon Appetit: Saturday nights are back on our calendar this fall. On alternating months we’ll enjoy either the best of the Twin Cities’ restaurant cuisine or in-home “gourmet” dinner parties. Spouses and guests are invited to join us.
Bookclub: The readers among us choose a variety of great books each year. They meet at a member’s home every other month to discuss their most recent selection.
International Night: Edina Newcomers attracts women from all over the globe. On International Night we may shine the spotlight on one of our international members (or our friends) as they share with us the cuisine, customs and culture of their native lands. Or, a member may share stories and photos of her latest travel adventure. We also love to visit the Twin Cities’ many interesting ethnic restaurants, markets, or festivals*.
Ladies Night Out: Get-togethers include a variety of activities— dinners at the Twin Cities’ newest restaurants, theater outings, fondue parties, potlucks and BBQs or craft nights*.
