Tour of the Minnesota Governor’s Residence
1006 Summit Ave., St. Paul
Don’t miss this opportunity to tour the Minnesota Governor’s Residence. It is open only on some Tuesdays during June, July and August.
The Governor’s Residence is a 20-room English Tudor style mansion completed in 1912 for timber baron Horace Hills Irvine. The Irvine family lived in the house until 1965 when his youngest daughters donated it to the State of Minnesota. Minnesota Historical Society docents give free, guided tours lasting approximately 45 minutes. A photo ID is required.
Car pools will leave from Claremore Ct. in Edina at 1:30pm. You could also meet us there. I have been told that a line forms outside the residence located at 1006 Summit Ave., St. Paul. We will be waiting in the line from about 2pm.
